The Ikuta Dental team can use one of two highly effective methods to whiten your teeth. The first method is an at-home whitening kit and the second method is in-office laser whitening. What is included in the at-home whitening kit?
The at-home tooth-whitening kit comes with custom-made upper and lower teeth trays and graduated syringes filled with a bleaching agent. Most importantly, our team will provide you detailed instructions, monitor your progress and address any problems or concerns.

How does laser tooth whitening work?
This tooth whitening method works by applying a light-activated gel to your teeth for about an hour. This method can lighten your teeth up to eight shades in one office visit.

Why should I have a cosmetic dentist whiten my teeth instead of buying an over-the-counter product?
Over-the-counter whitening kits aren’t as effective as professional kits because the whitening gel is weaker and the teeth trays are not custom-made to fit your teeth.

Should I use whitening toothpastes to maintain my teeth?
No. Contrary to popular belief, whitening toothpastes can actually discolor your teeth in the long run. They are extremely abrasive and can wear down your enamel, exposing the yellow-colored dentin underneath.
