The Tooth-Colored Filling Procedure

To fill a new cavity or replace an old amalgam filling, Dr. Dennis or Dr. Deric Ikuta will follow a simple, two-step process.

1. He will remove the diseased tooth tissue or old filling
2. He will fill the remaining cavity with many thin layers of tooth-colored composite resin, allowing each layer to completely dry before applying the next

The result will be a virtually undetectable filling that is both strong and durable.
