Using the information gathered from your Smile Evaluation, Dr. Ikuta and you will design the look of your new smile.

After the Smile Design is complete, Dr. Ikuta will take a mold of your teeth that the dental lab will use to create your custom porcelain veneers.

Dr. Ikuta will slightly reduce the size of your natural teeth to make room for the veneers before temporarily applying them.

He'll fine-tune the shape of the veneers based on your feedback and then permanently bond them to your teeth with custom-colored dental cement.

Why Porcelain?

Porcelain is the best material to use for veneers because it creates a very natural look and is translucent like the enamel of your teeth. Light will pass through it to the custom-colored bonding material beneath it, just as light passes through your enamel to the dentin layer of your tooth. The result is a natural-looking, pearly sheen.

Porcelain also works great for veneers because it becomes extremely durable and hard once it is bonded to your teeth. This makes the veneers stain-resistant and they will look, feel and function just as your natural teeth do now.
