Patient Testimonials

Right before coming to Dr. Ikuta, I had chronic neck pain and even worse headaches. My headaches distracted me from my work and at times made me feel nauseous. My appetite was next to nothing and I was extremely irritable. Since being treated by Dr. Ikuta, I have not had a headache since. Thank you so much Dr. Ikuta and staff. Whether you know it or not, you have made a huge change for the better in my life.

Oral Sedation

If you have anxiety about an upcoming restorative or cosmetic dentistry procedure with us, oral sedation is an easy way to calm your nerves and ensure a comfortable experience.

All you'll need to do for this sedation dentistry technique to work is take an oral medication about an hour before we begin. This medication will have a calming effect as well as an amnesic effect, so you won't remember the procedure after the medication has worn off. Other advantages of oral sedation include:

  • It's very easy to administer
  • It's safe and easy to monitor
  • It works well for most patients
  • It's very affordable

The few disadvantages of oral sedation include:

  • It doesn't have any pain relieving effects
  • You will need a family member to drive you to and from your appointment
  • The level of sedation is not easily changed

If you are located in the Fresno, Visalia or Reedley are and would like to learn more about oral sedation or the other sedation dentistry techniques we offer, please contact us today.
